A Reclaimed Soundboard from an antique piano was our canvas for this one-of-a-kind painting. Soundboards have a beautifully distinct design, and they served a unique purpose when the instrument was still intact. The beautifully light spruce wood’s job was to amplify the sound of the instrument, making every sound louder so it could be heard by more people at greater distances. Now, it has been repurposed to share this message of love.
We Made This Art using decoupage lettering, a large, subtle heart shape, and acrylic paint. Several layers of paint and medium were built up to add texture and depth to the panel.
