The highly iridescent inner layer of the shell of abalone has traditionally been used as a decorative inlay on jewelry, buttons, furniture, musical instruments such as guitars, knife handles & many other shell crafts. Abalone shells are a marine snail commonly called ear shell, sea ear.
The larger the shell, the older, and they have more fabulous natural 'imperfections' & characteristics from aging and living in the oceans. These shells' interiors are highly iridescent with colorful blues, greens and silver accents.
Each shell does have its own uniqueness, so please use the photos as reference. These have a natural, rust, sage, & hints of orange on backside. Many will have raw characteristics like barnacle growth & other calcium formations. There may be small holes, natural imperfections, or minor natural breakage. These are in the RAW state.
